We’ve got a full schedule of Organized Play planned for Cyberpunk Trading Card Game — and it begins before our official release!
Your journey starts at the Night City Gauntlet: a series of events that will take place in your Local Game Store. If the Gauntlet gives you a taste for competitive play, we’ve also got a packed series of competition-level events planned for you with incredible exclusive prizing, including a qualification path to our invite-only top-level events.
Here’s a quick overview of our revealed Organized Play structure so far, along with a little more insight into what each event entails.

Welcome to Night City Beta Events and Pre-Releases are very similar. Both are played in your Local Game Store, using the “sealed deck” format. You’ll turn up, open your sealed event kit, build a deck of 30 cards and 3 Legends, and take your first steps into friendly Cyberpunk TCG competition.
The biggest difference between the two event types is that Beta Events are run using Welcome to Night City Beta booster packs, whereas Pre-Releases are run using Welcome to Night City Retail Booster packs. You’ll also find different promo cards included in Beta Event and Pre-Release kits.
Beta Events provide an early preview of in-store Cyberpunk TCG play, and will be run exclusively by stores that signed up for Cyberpunk TCG Organized Play before May 1. Beta Events will take place between September 10 and September 17, 2026.
Retail Pre-Release events can be run by any Cyberpunk TCG Organized Play store on the weekend of October 30.
Night City Brawls are the cornerstone of the Night City Gauntlet. After our Pre-Releases, these weekly events will give players of all skill and experience levels a place to come together, enjoy the game, and take the first steps in their constructed Cyberpunk TCG journey.
Players bring their own decks each week and compete against new chooms and local rivals, with the winners taking home highly sought-after Night City Brawl packs that feature promo cards in exclusive treatments.
Night City Brawl kits will be distributed to Local Game Stores in time for them to start hosting Night City Brawls immediately after retail Pre-Release events. We’ll give you more details about kit contents in the months ahead.
Each set, your Night City Brawl events build toward the Night City Showdown. Showdown events are competitive in-store tournaments with exclusive prizing that can be run once per store, per set, toward the end of each set cycle.
Showdowns are designed to help players experience and enjoy their first competitive events in familiar store settings. With exclusive prizing, including alternative-art promos on offer for our participating players, top 8, top 4, and Showdown Champions, we expect these events to be extremely popular and drive players everywhere to plug into competitive Cyberpunk TCG play.
Starting with Cyberpunk TCG Set 2, Night City District Opens are larger-scale (64 to 128 players) tournaments hosted by stores that have supported Cyberpunk TCG the most throughout Welcome to Night City.
We’re not quite ready to reveal the full details of these events yet, but you can expect prizing in line with official competitive tournaments, including a path to higher tiers of competitive play.
Edgerunner Open Regional tournaments (EOs) are our core large-scale competitive events. At EOs, hundreds of players will battle it out for glory, extremely rare prize cards, and qualifications to Black Sapphire Invitational Championship events.
We’ll share our full Edgerunner Open Regional schedule with you in due course, but these events are set to begin during the Welcome to Night City set cycle.
Black Sapphire Invitational Championships are top-level, invite-only events. Players will receive invites to these events based on their performance at previous competitive events, and the prizing on offer is reflective of the performance required to secure your qualification.
The very pinnacle of competition. Every competitive Cyberpunk TCG event builds toward our first World Championship. This is where true Legends are made.
We’re keeping details about our World Championship under wraps for now. But it’s safe to say we’ve got some incredibly exciting experiences planned for players who can make their way to the very highest level of competition.
We'll be making announcements regarding Organized Play software, event sign ups and registration very soon.
