Beta Events gave players an early opportunity to try out Cyberpunk TCG in a limited number of retail stores. With those wrapped up, it’s time to look ahead to our Welcome to Night City Pre-release events!
Pre-releases will follow the same structure as our Beta Events. But there will be a lot more of them for you to take part in. That means more chances to play, more Iconic cards to open, and lots of opportunities to introduce your chooms to the game!
Whether you tried the game at a Beta Event and you’re hungry for more, or you missed out last time and want to step into Night City for the first time, here’s everything you need to know about Cyberpunk TCG Pre-releases.
What is a Cyberpunk TCG Pre-release?
Just like our Beta Events, Cyberpunk TCG Pre-releases are in-store tournaments that anybody can show up to, build a deck, and experience the game for the first time.
These events are “sealed deck” format, meaning you don’t need to bring any Cyberpunk TCG cards along with you. Simply turn up at your local store, purchase a Pre-release Kit, and you’ll get everything you need to play in the event, including Booster Packs and promos!

What’s in a Cyberpunk TCG Pre-release Kit?
Cyberpunk TCG Pre-release Kits contain:
- Six Welcome to Night City Retail Booster Packs
- Three additional random Legend cards to help with deck construction
- A Gorilla Arms Promo card
- A full set of Cyberpunk TCG Polyhedral Dice (D4, D6, D8, D10, D12, D20)
Where and when can I play in a Cyberpunk TCG Pre-release?
All approved Cyberpunk TCG Organized Play stores can run Welcome to Night City Pre-release events on the weekend of October 30. Stores can start scheduling these events in Melee now, so over the next couple of months you should start to see many more of them appear in our store and event locator.
If you haven't checked it out already, we recently integrated events directly into our store locator. Now, to find a Pre-release event near you, all you need to do is search the map for a nearby store, click on it to see their events, and click through to register for an event in Melee.
Which additional Legend cards can I find in my Pre-release Kit?
The supplemental Legend pack in our Pre-release Kits contains three of the following Legend cards:
- Adam Smasher: Ender of Legends
- Royce: Psycho on the Edge
- Dexter DeShawn: Off the Grid
- Dum Dum: Maelstrom Triggerman
- Muamar Reyes: El Capitán
- Rogue Amendaires: Preem Solo
- Goro Takemura: Vengeful Bodyguard
- Padre: Man of the Cross
- Alt Cunningham: Soulkiller Architect
- Wakako Okada: Peace and Harmony
The Legend cards that you open in your Pre-release kit will have the same foil “WTNC 2026” stamp as the Gorilla Arms promo. Cards with this stamp are exclusively available in our Pre-release kits, so don’t miss out!
As soon as Pre-releases end, the Night City Brawl begins!
If you enjoy your local Pre-release and you want to keep the fun going, we’ve got good news for you. Night City Brawl weekly play tournaments will begin the week after Pre-releases — and there are some awesome prizes on offer for players who take part.
