WeirdCo was founded on the belief that playing TCGs together is an incredibly enriching and valuable experience in people’s lives. So we created Cyberpunk TCG with a major focus on in-store play.
As you might imagine, we’re all very excited to kick things off, and we’ve got a whole program of store-level events lined up for you — this is the Night City Gauntlet. But before the Gauntlet begins, we’ve got a couple of Pre-Release events to take care of — the first of which are Cyberpunk TCG Beta Events.
What is a Cyberpunk TCG Beta Event?
Cyberpunk TCG Beta Events are in-store tournaments that anybody can show up to, build a deck, and experience the game for the first time. Being a Kickstarter backer isn’t required!
These events are “sealed deck” format, meaning you don’t need to bring any Cyberpunk TCG cards along with you. Simply turn up at your local store, purchase a Beta Event Kit, and you’ll get everything you need to play in the event, including Booster Packs and promos!
It’s a perfect chance to crack some packs, learn the game, play matches against some new local chooms, and compete for additional Beta Booster Packs. Pretty preem!
What’s in a Cyberpunk TCG Beta Event Kit?
Cyberpunk TCG Beta Event Kits contain:
- Six Welcome to Night City Beta Booster Packs
- Three additional random Legend cards to help with deck construction
- A Beta Kit Mantis Blades Promo card
- A full set of Cyberpunk TCG Polyhedral Dice (D4, D6, D8, D10, D12, D20)
Where and when can I play in a Cyberpunk TCG Beta Event?
Official Cyberpunk TCG stores will begin scheduling their Beta Events soon, so stay tuned to your local game store’s channels to be the first to hear more! You can find an Organized Play store near you using our new Store Locator.
Beta Events will run between September 10 and 17, 2026, giving stores two weekends on which they can schedule their events.
Which additional Legend cards can I find in my Beta Kit?
The supplemental Legend pack in our Beta Event Kits contains three of the following Legend cards:
- Adam Smasher: Ender of Legends
- Royce: Psycho on the Edge
- Dum Dum: Maelstrom Triggerman
- River Ward: Detective on the Hunt
- Rogue Amendaires: Preem Solo
- Goro Takemura: Vengeful Bodyguard
- Jackie Welles: Mama’s Favorite
- Panam Palmer: Nomad Cavalry
- Alt Cunningham: Soulkiller Architect
- Judy Álvarez: Braindance Maestro
Just like the Mantis Blades promo, each of your legends will bear the special Beta symbol in the top-right corner, indicating they’re from a Beta Event Kit.
When will I be able to play Cyberpunk TCG again after the Beta Events?
The great thing about our Beta Events is that after they’re done, everyone will have a Cyberpunk TCG deck to go home with. So, once you’ve connected with some new chooms at your local game store, you can play again as much as you please!
In terms of Organized Play, the next big date for your diary will be the weekend of October 30, when we’ll be running our Welcome to Night City retail Pre-Release events. After that, we’re just a week away from the full retail release, and the start of weekly Night City Brawl events. More to come on that closer to the time!

WeirdCo is bringing Cyberpunk TCG to Gen Con Indianapolis 2026! We’ll be running demo sessions all event long, and giving out Rebecca: Having a Moment promo cards to every player who completes a demo session. Demo sign-ups are open now in the Gen Con event catalogue.
If you can’t get a spot on the day you want, don’t worry. We’ll also have some limited demo space available for Kickstarter campaign backers. Just come and see us at the Cyberpunk TCG booth, show us your backer number, and we’ll get you booked in for a backer-exclusive session.
